VEHICLE ACCESS CONTROL SYSTEM
A vehicle access control system is intelligently designed for the detection of vehicles that are entering or leaving a place. These systems are ingeniously programmed to store important details in their memory unit such as the type of vehicle, its color, the registration number and the name of the registered owner. It then generates this information when the system demands it to. This restricts a place to be used by authorized vehicles only. All other vehicles whose information is not stored in the systems memory unit are deemed as unauthorized and upon detection of such vehicles, access is denied and gates remain shut. The world is in desperate need of a secure system that ensures the safety and protection of vehicles against all kinds of burglaries and road accidents. People need to be sure that when they leave their car for hours in a place such as a parking lot, itll be safe from thefts and hit-and-run accidents hence the introduction of vehicle access control systems.
The system mainly consists of a vibration sensor (the body), an alarm, a buzzer, sensors, a microcontroller, a UVT transmitting and receiving module and a LCD screen among other various electrical components. A vehicle is integrated with the UVT transmitting unit which transmits relevant information with the help of the UVT nodes to the receiving unit installed at the gate. Once received, the information is sent to the microcontrollers control unit where the data is processed and decoded so that further action can be taken. If a match of the vehicle is found in the microcontrollers memory unit, the controller activates the buzzer to ring and signals the gate to open itself in order to allow entry to the vehicle or, in case its leaving premises, to exit the gate. Once the car has passed, the gate shuts itself. If a match is not found to that of the vehicle trying to gain permission to enter or to leave in the controllers unit, the microcontroller activates the alarm to ring so that local authorities can be made aware of the intruder at hand. The gate remains shut so that entry or exit is denied to the intruder.
